Jacqueline Gooden Seay

We are located in central Virginia which is recognized as the "Heart of Virginia." The heartbeats of fifteen dedicated and determined women formed the Kappa Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. March 6, 1976. The founding members with a mind to work and a heart to serve wanted to bring the ideals and principles of a national organization to Central Virginia. The Programs of Global Leadership Through Timeless Service are outlined to us under the leadership of our International President Carolyn House Stewart. Our goals are set and we are focused with racing hearts to reach them as we serve the counties of Amelia, Buckingham, Cumberland, Prince Edward and Nottoway.

The Kappa Rho Omega Heartbeat of community service continues strong. Some of our activities are awarding scholarships to deserving students entering a four year college, adopting a family in need and assisting them to plan to be independent of assistance. We also conduct an annual coat drive, blood mobile drive and we sponsor workshops to improve our standards of healthy living. We strategically provide information on financial security for families.

Can you hear it? That is the Heartbeat of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Kappa Rho Omega Chapter permeating throughout central Virginia with "Service to All Mankind."

Sincerely,
Jacqueline Gooden Seay
Chapter President
